Every story has a conflict: Heroes VS Villains! These two forces have opposite objectives! Even in the real world there is also a fight between light and darkness.
This fast-paced, catchy song was inspired by Ephesians 06:11-18 from the New Testament. The theme refers to the Great War between Good and Evil.
Utilized with unique words, the first verse stands out with the feel of intensity about how Christian knights are valiantly clashing head on against Devilish knights! (This will be my umbrella term to describe sin, Satan, or his army) Fiercely sounding, the chorus is trying to visualize the slashing of the sword with the blade sharpened by Jehovah! When we join with the army of the LORD, I promise you that we shall emerge triumphant!
With the description of preparation, the second verse talks about the armor of God and its attributes. We will hold our ground against the wiles of the Devil, our faithful shield serves as a defense to stop the blazing arrows, and finally our attacking method which is the sword of the Spirit; God’s word! Notice the alliteration and rhyme scheme of the song.
Last but not least, the bridge of song declares a message that our power comes from the Almighty! We are to be leery about our human skill set if you desire to win in this crucial combat against Lucifer (Also known as Satan) and his army of wicked warriors!
In the TV show, Power Rangers, every Ranger obtains their power from the Morphing Grid. However, as Christian knights, our power is provided by the King of Kings who is the significant source!
I sent my friend, Josiah to write the tune but I felt like I needed to change it up a bit. Eventually I requested him to record another demo of the song with revised lyrics.
I am so blessed to sing this song with my best friend, Joanna and performed it not just on YouTube, but also in several occasions!
